Student Ministry

At Novesta, we greatly value our kids and teens. We invest heavily in our students because we desire to be a church with a great future and not just a great past. Throughout the year we provide various events and activities to engage students and help them get connected to the life of the church!

  • 180 Youth Group

Throughout the school year, we host our student ministry event for all students in 6th - 12th grade. Each night features fun games, great food, fantastic worship, a Biblical message, and small group time as well. 180 starts a few weeks after school and runs from September - May each year.

  • Retreats

CIY Believe, Michigan Statewide, and the Laser Tag Trip are great opportunities for our students to grow deeper in their faith and to establish great relationships with their leaders and with one another.

  • Bible School

Every Sunday morning we encourage students to gather for a time of learning and growth as we pour into God's word and see how it can shape and direct the students' lives. We have a jr. high and a high school class that meets at 9:30.

  • 5th Quarters

During the fall football season and winter basketball season we offer Friday night parties after Cass City home games. These parties last for a couple of hours and offer free food, fun games, and great friendships for all students in 7th - 12th grade.

  • Bible Bowl

For students that want a deeper knowledge of the Bible, desire to study it, and like to travel, we offer a Bible Quiz learning program that meets throughout the school year. Each year a different text is selected and the kids study, practice, and compete over that material with other teens from around the state and country. The season concludes with a trip to the National tournament usually in a big city in another state.

  • Discipleship Groups

During the summer, while youth group is on break, there are a few D groups that meet to help students grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. These groups are usually broken into guys/girls and jr. high/high school.

  • Fun Trips

B-dubs, Beach Day, Putt-Putt Trip, or 'Kidnapped' nights are just a few opportunities for students to be "students" and enjoy life and time together. Jordan is regularly planning moments and times for the youth to invite friends, laugh together, and enjoy being a teen!
